exercise, exercise, and more exercise

2015-10-23

As I mentioned in my first "intro" post, dieting has, is, and will be the toughest part of this pageant for me. The girls will know that any time we're at Aberdeen Centre, I'll always mention something about fried chicken. I have a relationship with savory foods and it's so bad! I always preach to people eat good = live good. So in order to feel guilt free of my indulgences, I have to work out extra hard! So here's a little update about what the girls and I have been doing in terms of exercise.

Hot Yoga
We're lucky enough that we have fitness sponsors, from gym passes, to personal training sessions to weekly fitness classes. This has been one of my favourite parts of the pageant for sure. Every class - regardless if it's yoga, stretching, pilates, cardio or core, the classes are conducted in a room that's cranked up to 38 degrees celcius. Honestly, I prefer it this way because it makes me feel extra accomplished after every class!

Stage Training:
Stage training is basically choreography, and stage movement. And I count this as a mini workout. We usually spend a few hours each class with our stage coach, Didi, to practice and choreograph new dance moves! Most recently, we've been practicing our opening number. I'm SO excited for you all to see what we've been working on! This has honestly been one of my most favourite classes because who doesn't love blasting music and dancing?!

Personal Training:
Our personal training sessions have been about circuits and body weight training. It's actually difficult because it's rapid and hard hitting. LOVE it!! The trainers have been really great at coaching us how to exercise properly. Will update more on this after the next class!

Until next time
XOXO,
Lettitia
