Congratulations Canada!!

Today is a big and proud day for Canadians every where, regardless of which party you voted for. Justin Trudeau of the Liberals is our new Prime Minister! I'm not going to lie, I feel kind of anxious for him because he has a lot of expectations to meet. No one knows what will happen in the future but Canada needed things to change, and many were disatisfied with the Harper government so I really hope he lives up to his promises! Only time will tell. My facebook feed is going crazy about him. He went to McGill and taught at West Point Grey Academy so a lot of my friends feel an affinity to him. Can't help but feel extra proud that he is elected :)
Speaking of McGill, I'm feeling nostalgic suddenly :( Right now I even miss their winters and feeling the cold wind bite my cheeks and the snow fall on my eyelashes.
My parents used to tell me that being a student is one of the best times of your life. They were right, as always. Though school is undoubtedly stressful, that stress went away after an exam. There was pressure, but that pressure also went away when summer started. Now in the real world we have responsibilities for ourselves and as citizens. Gotta get planning again on what I want to and need to do after this pageant ends.
Until the next post,
XOXO
