An Hour in a life of a Registered Dental Hygienist

I had some time to go to work today! Follow me through pictures of an hour in Bridget’s work life! Welcome to my dental room!

今天我回到診所工作，齊齊看看我在一小時內的工作模樣。

這就是我工作的房間。

 

My loupes that are custom made for my eyes! These are like magnifying glasses and has a light. I wear these to clean teeth. 

我工作時會配戴度身訂做的放大眼鏡，它還配備一個照明燈, 讓我在幫病人洗牙的時候可以看得更清楚。

 

 

I am teaching brushing to my client on my giant teeth model.

我會用一個非常巨大的牙齒模型去指導我的病人正確的刷牙方法。

Start the cleaning! On my other side is one of our office’s Certified Dental Assistant, Selena! Thank you for being so great! It takes good team work to run a treatment smoothly!

開始洗牙的程序！在治療期間，每個組員充分合作是很重要的。謝謝在我左邊的註冊牙醫助手 Selena的幫忙。

Here I am administering local anesthetic (The needle!). I pride myself in making my clients as comfortable as possible during injection.  It is one of my favorite skills as a hygienist. I scored perfect during my practical exam when I was a dental hygiene student!

現在我正在給我的病人注射麻醉藥（打針）。對於自己能給予顧客最舒適的注射，我感到非常自豪。這個技能我還在讀書的時候拿得滿分呢！
